Wrote "Falso amor" at age 17, the breakout hit from the debut album "Casas de cartón" (1976). Soul and creative force of Los Bukis; lead songwriter, arranger, producer, and artistic director. Produced for artists including Rocío Dúrcal and Marisela. Debuted as solo artist in 1996 with "En pleno vuelo," releasing eleven solo studio albums over 25 years. Composed over 360 songs. Sold over 60 million copies across solo and group work. More than 120 artists have recorded his compositions, including Enrique Iglesias, Raphael, Alejandro Fernández, Roberto Carlos, Juan Gabriel, Miguel Bosé, and Marc Anthony. Performed at Festival Viña del Mar, Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl, and Luna Park. Has Billboard Awards and Latin Grammy awards. Some albums inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame. Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Voiced a Disney/Pixar character.

**Joel Solís** — First of seven children of Pablo Solís and María Teresa Gaona. Known as "El pajarillo de la montaña" in his youth. Taught Marco Antonio to play guitar. Presented as "Los Soles Tarascos" on "Siempre en domingo" in August 1971 (ages 14 and 12). Spent two years seeking a record deal in Mexico City before signing with Discos Melody in 1973. Sole guitarist of Los Bukis throughout their career; known for solos and requintos. After the band's separation, specialized in studio recording work, continuing to the present.

**Javier Solís** — Younger brother of Marco Antonio (penultimate of seven siblings). Joined Los Bukis initially as an equipment assistant ("secre") around 1979. Took on percussion role in 1981. First appeared on an album cover with "Yo te necesito" (1982). Known for passionate pandero and conga playing. Recorded four albums with Los Bukis: "Yo te necesito," "Mi Fantasía," "A dónde vas," and "Me volví a acordar de ti" (also appeared on cover of "Si me recuerdas"). Left in 1987 to pursue solo career; released debut solo album "No me olvidarás" and eight subsequent albums.

**Eusebio "Chivo" Cortés** — Learned guitar at age 12, inspired by The Beatles. Received first bass lessons in rock group "Indian" from Carlos Hernández Silva. Played in group "PB Master" where he first met Marco Antonio. Joined Los Bukis via invitation from Joel Solís after Carlos Hernández's departure. First appeared on album cover for "Me siento solo" (1978). First live performance with Los Bukis: December 17 in Paracho, Michoacán. Known for dance moves on stage. Composed five songs recorded by Los Bukis, including "Si no es contigo" and "Dime que sí." Participated in filming of all four Los Bukis movies. Left the group in March 1995.

**Pedro Sánchez** — Learned drums as a teenager. Played with groups "Los Lemons," "Juan Ramón y su grupo," and "Los Kupanda." Met Los Bukis when "Los Kupanda" shared a bill with them in Uruapan. Recruited by Joel Solís in 1981 after baterista Jorge de Ávila resigned. Joel traveled to Uruapan without prior contact to find him; offered him the spot at a party on the outskirts of the city. Met Joel in Pátzcuaro to travel to Mexico City. Remained drummer of Los Bukis from 1981 until the group's end in 1996; recorded ten albums.

**José "Pepe" Guadarrama** — Younger brother of Roberto Guadarrama. From a poor farming family; father Salvador played violin, trumpet, and saxophone. Played in family musical group "Los Chavos Guadarrama" during adolescence. First encountered Los Bukis at a show in Durango where Roberto was recruited. Joined Los Bukis mid-1980s as sound crew/staff member. Took on percussion and second keyboards role when Javier Solís left in 1988. Brought saxophone and wind instruments to the group for the first time. Entered studio for "Si me recuerdas." Filmed "Cómo fui a enamorarme de ti" (1989). Recorded four subsequent albums: "Y para siempre," "A través de tus ojos," "Quiéreme," and "Inalcanzable." Left with Eusebio "Chivo" Cortés in March 1995.

**Roberto Guadarrama** — Older brother of Pepe Guadarrama. Father Salvador's love of music passed to all children. Learned solfeo at age 10, played trumpet at age 11, learned piano at age 12 and took over keyboards in the family ensemble. Family moved to Durango. In March 1979, attended a Los Bukis performance in Durango (age 19). Marco Antonio left his business card with local promoters to pass to Roberto. Roberto called Marco Antonio in July 1979. First performance with Los Bukis: September 15, 1979. First appeared on an album cover with "Mi Najayita" (1980). Became Marco Antonio's right-hand man in arranging. Close friends with Joel Solís (they are compadres). In the 1990s also wrote and produced for Ezequiel Peña, Marisela, and Graciela Beltrán.
